This design for a technology research facility proposed an iconic hub of activity along the Chicago River. An expansive ground level ‘Porch’ would connect the building’s public spaces to the surrounding community, while the ‘Cloud’ hovering above would provide private space for state-of-the-art laboratories.

Kim led the competition team at Studio Gang.
